Honors Option Project
I completed an Honors Option project for EDUC 331 to work towards my honors requirements, and learned about performance-specific technology and logistics management. I observed CSU’s incredible audio professional, Jim Doser, and his staff at work at several music events in Griffin Concert Hall. I also spoke with members of UCA event staff to gather information and materials on the executive logistics of concerts at CSU. From this project, I learned the baseline of operating advanced sound equipment and personnel management for concerts and other events that will inform how I plan and run events in future jobs. I also gained resources and recommendations for which equipment to purchase and use for my programs.
The output for this project is a events guide of basic information for how an event is hosted in Griffin, which could be updated and altered for different venues. Also included are my greatest take-aways from each concert observation and staff checklists for UCA event staff.
